Quarterback Adam Schott connects with Jeremy Vaught on a 4-yard touchdown pass and Kelvin Turner rips off a dazzling 57-yard touchdown run to give Danville a first half lead over Newport Catholic in the Class A State Championship Game in Louisville. Newport Catholic scores twice in the second half, the last one coming on a 7-yard touchdown toss from Jeff Smith to Kevin Smith, but the extra point point fails and the Admirals hold on to win 14-13 and capture their second consecutive Class A State Championship and the schools ninth overall state title.
