- Scott Mendenhall’s three-pointer with two minutes left to play puts Lexington Catholic ahead to stay and the Knights beat Southern Laboratory of Louisiana 75-71 in the finals of the City of Palms Classic in Fort Myers, Florida. David Graves finishes with 21 points and hits two free throws with 5 seconds on the clock to seal the deal for Catholic who becomes the first Kentucky team to ever win the Palms Classic Showcase Tournament.
