- UK’s Enes Kanter is drafted as the 3^rd overall pick by the Utah Jazz in the first round of the 2011 NBA draft. Brandon Knight is selected 8^th overall by the Detroit Pistons and Kenneth Faried becomes the first Morehead State player ever to be drafted in the first round when the Denver Nuggets select him with the 22^nd overall pick. Bryan Station standout Shelvin Mack is taken by the Washington Wizards with the 4^th pick in the second round.
