- In front of a record breaking Thoroughbred Bowl crowd of 10,250-- Quarterback Tim Couch lives up to all the hype as his Leslie County team soars past Highlands 44-42 in the 11th annual Thoroughbred Bowl Game at Tates Creek High School. Couch, a 6-foot-5, 210-pound senior, connects on 17 of 30 passes for 287 yards and three touchdowns through the air. Couch also carries the ball 22 times for 112 yards and runs for three touchdowns on the night. “Tim thrives in these situations,” said Leslie Co. Coach Joe Beder. “He loves this type of atmosphere.”
