- Junior quarterback Freddie Maggard completes 27 of 46
passes for 282 yards, all three career highs, but it was not enough as Indiana
hands Kentucky a 45-24 loss at Commonwealth Stadium. The Kentucky defense had
problems stopping the option as quarterback Trent Green carries the ball 10 times
for 67 yards and one touchdown. Vaughn Dunbar replaces injured IU All-American
running back Anthony Thompson and runs for 94 yards on 25 carries and 2
touchdowns.
