- Defensive Back David Johnson and linebacker Chris Chenault
both return interceptions for touchdowns as Kentucky defeats Cincinnati 37-20
at Riverfront Stadium to improve their record to 2-0-1 on the season. Bill
Ransdell connects with Joe Curry on a 15-yard touchdown pass and Andy Murray
plows in from 1 yard out to add to the Wildcat scoring. Coach Jerry Claiborne
says, “the score does not indicate how close the game was. This was a real
aggressive, tough football game.”
