On May 28, 1982 the Madison Central Indians defeated perennial powerhouse Pleasure Ridge Park in the finals of the Kentucky State Baseball Tournament, 9-0, to capture the school's first ever state championship. The win capped a truly remarkable season as the Central Indians became and still remain the only baseball team in Kentucky history to win the state championship with an undefeated mark.

"The Perfect Team" is a 1:45 documentary commemorating that unprecedented 40-0 season of the 1982 Madison Central baseball team. The film includes personal interviews with players, coaches and many more members of the Madison Central baseball family, and takes us back to the magical spring of 1982!
