championship game record twelve (12) 3-pointers on their way to defeating
Syracuse 76-67 for NCAA Title in East Rutherford, NJ. Freshman Ron Mercer makes
8 of 12 shots and scores career-high 20 points. Tony Delk ties championship
record with seven (7) 3-pointers and leads Kentucky with a team-high 24 points.
Delk is named Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player.
