This Day In Kentucky Sports History

27 Years Ago Today – June 20, 1998

In the 100th renewal of their storied basketball rivalry, the Kentucky All-Stars outlast Indiana 80-76 in front of 5,000 fans at the Farnham Dudgeon Civic Center in Frankfort. Paintsville’s J.R. VanHoose, Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball, leads the way for the Kentucky squad with a dominant 24-point, 14-rebound performance. Lexington Catholic’s David Graves tosses in 11 points on the night and University Heights’ standout Harold Swanagan adds 10.
