- North Carolina captures the school's 6th NCAA National Championship with a 71-65 victory over Gonzaga in Glendale, Arizona. Joel Berry II led the TarHeels with 22 points on the night, Justin Jackson tossed in 16 and Isaiah Hicks added 13. For NC Coach Roy Williams it marked his 3rd National Championship as Coach of the TarHeels.
