23 Years Ago Today – December 6, 2002

- With the scored tied 7-7, Mayfield takes possession on it’s own 6-yard line just minutes into the 4^th quarter. Senior runningback, Derrick Parrott, carries the ball 14 out of the next 18 plays and finishes off the drive on a 1-yard touchdown run to give Mayfield the school’s 7^th Class A State Football Championship with a 14-7 victory over Beechwood.
