21 Years Ago Today – July 9, 2004

After a sluggish start, the Lexington Horsemen pull away to defeat the Atlantic City Cardsharks 54-25 in the first round of the NIFL playoffs at Rupp Arena. Quarterback Dusty Bonner leads the way, throwing three touchdown passes—including a 10-yard strike to Chad Spencer and a 15-yard scoring toss to Eddie Eviston. With the win, the Horsemen advance to the NIFL semifinal round next week.
